10 Quick Tips For Young And Beautiful Skin


A lot of women get so hyped up with makeup that they forget to take out some time for maintaining healthy skin. There should be an ideal balance between the two, for glowing skin. I’ve learnt quite a few tips here and there, that have really made a difference in the appearance of my face. And there’s even many things that you can do for your body. Now, let’s get started with some of the dos related to skincare.

1. Pat your face dry with a towel, instead of rubbing

The idea behind this is that intense motion can cause irritation, premature ageing or saggy skin. These negative effects won’t show up in a day, but they’ll be pose serious threats after a few years.

2. Use a silk pillowcase 

Silk has been shown to provide various benefits to one’s skin as well as hair. Apart from being uber-gentle, it also helps to retain moisture, reduce chemical exposure and is naturally hypoallergenic.


3. Pay equal attention to the neck 

It isn’t just your face that has the tendency to lose elasticity. The neck, and sometimes the whole d√©colletage area, have an equal risk. So, treat your neck with the same products used on the face. 

4. Apply moisturiser in upward motions

Doing so helps to defy gravity and keep your skin young for a longer time. Also, it increases the flow of lymph (lymphatic drainage), which means reduced toxins.

5. Use a separate towel for the face and neck

No, your hand towel doesn’t count. This is essential for minimising bacteria and thus breakouts.


6. Try exfoliating before using a cleanser

You can even follow up with a double cleanse in this method. Here, the exfoliant removes the dirt and created a smooth polished surface on which the face wash can supply nutrients to. 

7. Make sure you’ve got clean hands

What’s the point of taking all the time to get rid of germs, when your hands are the biggest source of it. Therefore, it’s recommended to cleanse them beforehand, especially if they feel dirty. 

8. Use a sunscreen every day you’re exposed to UV

Regardless of whether you’re inside your home or not, if you’re in contact with ultra-violet rays for more than 10-15 minutes, you need protection. This is usually applicable all-year round, when the ray level is above 3.

9. Remove makeup every single night

It doesn’t matter if you’re literally dead from a party hangover. Removing makeup is as important as brushing teeth. In such cases, having a pack of wipes next to your bed can be handy. 

10. Have two separate lip balms for the day and night

In the morning, a light hydrating balm (preferably with SPF) is sufficient. While in the night, it’s always nice to get an extra pump of hydration with products like either Vaseline or Paw Paw Ointment.
